25 Random Things About Me
- I love Hoagy Carmichael.
- I like to play cardgames.
- I burn incense whenever and wherever possible.
- To me, MarketPlace is soothing.
- I prefer my walkman. I like cds and ipods and stuff like that, but my heart belongs to tapes.
- I feel like I don’t even know what random means, man.
- I always run up the stairs instead of just walking up the stairs.
- When I swim, my favorite stroke to do is the backstroke, although freestyle has its good points.

- I started a book club in Brooklyn where we’re reading one of my favorite books: Infinite Jest
- Come to think of it, it’s also pretty random that I’ve been on a DFW listserv since I first read IJ in 1999. It is called wallace-l and, despite the recent death of Wallace himself, it remains very active.
- Although it is true that I am no longer a cataloger, I continually follow the goings on with the Library of Congress Authorities. I like to know what words/terms are used for other words/terms, and I especially like to read the scope notes.
- I keep my windows open all year round.
- I got a pretty bummer grade in Syntax but I still love solving syntax and morpholgy problems, diagraming sentences and taking DFW or Faulkner sentences and making one of those Chomsky grammar trees for them.
- I was always mostly for dogs but in the past few years I’ve grown to love cats.
- Having non-human living things around me is important. This includes plants and cats but not necessarily intruding squirrels.
- I’m very self-conscious, but I mostly laugh a lot because things are so often really funny.
- I think my parents are two of the funniest people I know. They have completely different senses of humor, and they’re both good at making people laugh, which I’m pretty proud of.

- Mixtapes are still really important to me.
- I’ve co-edited one zine.
- I’ve curated one art exhibition.
- I’ve made one short film.
- And I’ve recorded one ep.
